Donna Carlson is lead vocalist and
front person for the
Smiling Slut Puppies. She writes lyrics for a majority of the songs.
Writing passionately about the highs and lows of life , she feels
that every song requires a different personality and experience. Hailing
from Connecticut she is an experienced singer that got her start with L.A.
Jones and the Blues Messengers. Later she switched over to rock and enjoys
pushing her pipes to the limit. Her
influences are Maryann Faithful, Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks, Grace Slick
and Joan Jett.
Guitarist Eric Carlson brings the
ideas for most of our music. His ability to lead seasoned musicians
toward a common cause allows the band to function like a well oiled
machine. Focusing heavily on drama and romance, Eric's ripping lead solos belie deep emotion and his
all-encompassing lust for life. His influences include Tony Iommi, Jimmy
Page, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Geraldo and Carlos Santana.
We'd like to introduce Randy Murphy, our new drummer. We will tell you
more when we pry it out of him.
Joe Provost grew up in New England and was influenced by all kinds of classic and progressive rock. There was something about the bass guitar that drew him and he was 13 when he got his first rig. For a while he played around with friends and developed his style by listening to new and different genres of music. Joe moved around alot and giged with
numerous bands around the country. He is grateful to all the people who touched and influenced his life and music.
